Floating in
Floating out
Dissociation
Blackout
She sits
She stares
Not here
Not there
She’s in
She’s out
Can’t scream
Can’t shout
She’s fuzzy
She floats
Can’t breathe
Tight throat
Her head
It pounds
So heavy
Weighed down
Her hands
Like pins
So sore
On skin
She’s back
She’s forth
He pulls
Such force
He’s here
He’s there
Always gives
A scare
Dreams
To nightmares
He’s always
There
Memories
To flashbacks
Falling through
The cracks
She’s adult
She’s child
So tender
So mild
She’s strong
She’s weak
Can’t admit
Defeat
She’s warrior
She’s fragile
As memories
Unravel
She battles
She fights
Every day
Every night
She’s winner
She’s greater
Him
Her traitor
She’s falling
She’s floating
She rises
She’s glowing
She’s survivor
She’s fighter
Her flame
Shines brighter.

Thanks for sharing! Your writing helps me to understand the magnitude of the damage done to you and your fellow sexual abuse victims. It’s hard to read at times, but I sincerely hope that with every post you write, you feel a measure of victory for reclaiming your voice: placing shame in it’s place – on HIM, and others like him! Keep using your powerful words to take back what was denied to you- your dignity and sense of self-worth… you deserve “beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, the garment of praise instead of a heavy, burdened and failing spirit” Isaiah 61:3. Sending much love as you recover your birthright and rightful inheritance…you are dearly loved, wanted, and planned , and you are here for a wonderful purpose!!! It’s been so awesome to see you begin to believe that, and begin to move away from the dark lies that kept you bound up in a world of pain…💕Peace! Wisdom! Strength! Love! Joy!
